BOG Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Multimillion Dollar Facility

BOG’S Pipe Threading and Valve Assembly Facility

Bell Oil and Gas (BOG) celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for its OCTG Pipe Threading and Valve Assembly Plants on September 24, 2020. This facility covers 15,000sqm of land at the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos.

The event was witnessed by many dignitaries including, Xigong Huang, the Managing Director of Lekki Free Zone Development Company (LFZDC), Adegboyega Balogun, the Deputy Managing Director, LFZDC, and Nasiru Abubakar Musa, the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) lead at Lekki Free Zone.

Mr Tunde Adelana the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) who represented Simbi Wabote, the executive secretary of the NCDMB at the ceremony, said
that projects like this would terminate the country’s dependence on massive importation of threaded pipes and we can derive the attendant economic benefit. He also noted that Nigeria deserves more of such initiatives.

In his speech at the ceremony, Kayode Thomas, the CEO of Bell Oil and Gas, said that the event is a glorious milestone in the history and the story of the company. He noted that the multimillion-dollar facility would provide a range of services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry and beyond. He said that the facility would offer a range of piping and tubular services for the oil and gas industry. It would also have a valve assembly, maintenance workshop, testing plant, a composite fabrication facility and serve as a befitting fabrication yard in general.
