He spent considerable years in Auditing, Financial and management consulting, both for indigenous and international firms like Pricewater House Coopers and Management Transformation Limited. Lekan is proficient in the handling of various financial accounting, Internal/external auditing, consulting and taxation assignments both in private and public sectors of the economy.

An Accountancy graduate, Lekan is an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Associate member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and student member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
